While that Finishers Award is awesome, I guess I meant Finishers Medal to hang around one’s neck when they come through the finish line (again, that might look good on some people!)

Finisher’s medals are for 10-year-olds who play the entire soccer season. Actually, I don’t think they should get them either.
I prefer to receive things like your signature line rather than a medal.
My personal fave is my IMNZ finisher medal… but for sentimental, not aesthetic, reasons (first IM).
The Big Kahuna half-IM in Santa Cruz has really cool ceramic tiki mask medals. They’re different each year.
Sentinel Triathlon (also in Santa Cruz, and virtually the same course) has cool ones as well. This year it was like a coin with a hole stamped in the center for the string. Last year it was a plastic whistle!
The Hawaiian Airlines Kona/Xterra Worlds “Double” medal. The medal isn’t as cool as the replaced rim due to 6 miles of riding on it. Darn lava!
