Fastest Spinning SRM Compact Powermeter Ever

My obsession with getting the lowest bearing drag led me to reject both FSA and Dura-ace outboard bearings (as well as Octalink). The former were actually costing real wattage. A lot of experimentation led me to conclude that the old-fashioned Campy record BB was the fastest thing going – even faster than the Phil Wood. So I asked SRM to retrofit my FSA compact powermeter as a Campy square taper. Since I quit racing, it’s now for sale.

Here’s what’s included:

  • SRM Professional compact powermeter, with ISO square-taper crank – combo 130/110 BCD. Crankarms are 170mm but can be replaced
  • Powercontrol PC V. Holds charge for about 20 hours, which means it might need a new battery in the next year
  • Download cable with USB adapter
  • 3 Sensor units - rear wheel speed THIS IS A WIRED POWERMETER!
  • Campagnolo Record Carbon Bottom bracket (102mm square taper)
  • 50/34 Chainrings
  • Power charger

I’m asking $1100 + shipping. If more than one person is interested, I will take the highest offer.

US buyers only please.

pm sent, will take it for $1100+ shipping if ok.

Unfortunately, I will only accept offers for US buyers/shipment. I’m sorry.

The unit is still available.

Good to see you back here… if only to sell a crank.

That’s a great deal btw.

Why can’t this be shimano?!?!

Umm, I used it with a Shimano DA 9-speed front derailleur, DA 7800 rear derailleur. So there’s nothing about it that really precludes Shimano stuff.

go for it, this will work with a shimano chain and drive train.

Jens, let me know if it is sold. I will be San Jose CA tomorrow and could swing by your area. I have been told by all the experts to go down from 172.5 to 170.

Dev

Dev, it is still available.

Even if you don’t buy it, people who come by my house usually walk away with a bunch of interesting and obscure spare parts.

You shoulda seen the box of stuff I dumped on poor Darrell the last time I went by his shop.

Why no shipping to Toronto, Canada?

I am interested.

Is it still available, would be interested.

Thanks

Why no shipping to Toronto, Canada?

I am interested.

Despite our imperialist aspirations, the US does not yet include Toronto. We tried to invade twice (in 1776 and 1813) and it was a friggin disaster.

So you’ll have to wait until I determine no domestic buyers want the SRM, or a future invasion proves more successful.

Sorry to do that, but there’s just all this nonsense with customs, duties, and insurance now.

Yes. It is. PM what you’re willing to pay and I’ll decide if it’s enough.

Hi Jens,

Is it still available? Thanks.
