My obsession with getting the lowest bearing drag led me to reject both FSA and Dura-ace outboard bearings (as well as Octalink). The former were actually costing real wattage. A lot of experimentation led me to conclude that the old-fashioned Campy record BB was the fastest thing going – even faster than the Phil Wood. So I asked SRM to retrofit my FSA compact powermeter as a Campy square taper. Since I quit racing, it’s now for sale.
Here’s what’s included:
SRM Professional compact powermeter, with ISO square-taper crank – combo 130/110 BCD. Crankarms are 170mm but can be replaced
Powercontrol PC V. Holds charge for about 20 hours, which means it might need a new battery in the next year
Download cable with USB adapter
3 Sensor units - rear wheel speed THIS IS A WIRED POWERMETER!
Campagnolo Record Carbon Bottom bracket (102mm square taper)
50/34 Chainrings
Power charger
I’m asking $1100 + shipping. If more than one person is interested, I will take the highest offer.
Jens, let me know if it is sold. I will be San Jose CA tomorrow and could swing by your area. I have been told by all the experts to go down from 172.5 to 170.
