Faris on Cannondale, wheres the worship?

Last year, after Stormin Normann won, everyone wanted to bow down to Kuota, why not Cannondale after Faris’s win?

because he didn’t rock the bike leg in 4:21 like Sindballe on his Argon
.

I bought one of those new silver Cannondales with the fancy crank. I’m waiting for it now. I raced on an IM2000 frame most of last year. It was a good bike. Fit beautifully, light and comfortable too.

I wonder if that will affect Argon sales? How are they?

Not sexy enough, I guess.

They don’t cost enough and they are made of aluminum … why would anyone ride an aluminum bike just because it is light and stiff and the world champion rides it

I think the new Cannondales are very nice bikes and I’ve owned an old R700 2.8 frame Cannondale for 10 years and a couple of ironman races but I replaced it as my main ride a few years ago for a titanium “upgrade” which is way more sexy

Mine should be here in the next week or two. Can’t wait to build it up, should be cool.

They are light fast and crazy climbing bikes. I loved mine. But as others said, it’s aluminum, not sexy. Nothing wrong with it as I now have an aluminum P3sl. That Cannondale rocked and I like the nude aluminum finish.

Those Argon 18s are really really drool worthy too

I was a little disappointed that it came with two-year-old Zipps - rattling carbon caps and all. Not a big deal, but I can see a customer expecting dimpled Zipps, and then getting his/her bike and…not.

I love the C’dale SI cranks. To bad you have to fork over at least 5K to get one of their bikes with the SI crank (and I’m not talking about the new carbon ones, just the alu crank). I wish they would pair them up with ultegra or chorus and drop the price a tad.

Yeah, I tried to get the alloy SI crank but it didn’t happen, so I’m ‘stuck’ with the carbon ones. If only I could generate the power so it actually mattered.

You’re such a Faris groupie. If only you knew how to say his name…

You’re pathetic, Faris and I are tight ; )
.

Cannondale…what’s that?

I’ve got the Cannodale frame. I bought one with the Saeco paint job off eBay and built it up. I don’t really have a reference point, since it’s my first tri bike, but I’ve loved it so far.

Tom, what’s changed on the frame that led you to order one this year? Anything?

Dude, you’re so lame, stop dropping names, it’s not like you exchange emails with him on a daily basis!

The aluminum SI cranks are actually lighter than the carbon version.

That’s all it should take. People here love 2 things…Cervelo’s and the word of Tom D.

Tom - tell the masses about the Cannondales. Let’s see if we as a forum have enough influence to bump Cervelo out of the number one position in the Kona count.

Go Tom…spread the Cannondale gospel…they will listen…they always do (just don’t ask us to drink any cool aid.)

Faris just woke me up in bed and told me to get on the computer and tell you two to knock it off, he says no one likes a smartass anyways and he’s not talking to anyone at Asics until they make a racing flat named after him. Going off that aussie shoe he wants it called the Gel Farrister, and it needs to be in silver to match his bike. Says he’ll wear a matching silver speedo and man-bra with Asics spelled out in sparkly crystals if he gets the shoes. He does remember you guys though, called you those two crazy online forum freaks;)

No he’s not in my bed you perverts, he’s just staying on my couch letting me beat up on him on the bike to toughen him up for next year. I’ll go easy on him don’t worry;)

People care less about which pro rides a bike then the bike itself.

Kuota was a new somewhat sexy bike and NS win helped sales. However if athletes did not see something hot in the bike they would not have bought it. Cannondale is old news and until they make a product that matches or betters Cervelo then they wont be selling a lot of bikes regardless of Faris’s win.

Cervelo got to #1 by making the best engineered bike out there, the P3. Who cares who rides it. It’s all about the design and engineering.
