Fantastic carbon goodies made in Germany

Hey there,

first of all let me say that I have no affiliation with these guys whatsoever, I just came across their site and figured you’d be interested. This is for all the folks who love carbon parts and also for those who have criticized carbon parts from the Far East with sometimes sketchy quality control, here is the solution: German Carbon Group (website unfortunately only available in German: http://www.germancarbongroup.de/) is a team of German manufacturers who have absolutely amazing parts:

Superlight clip-ons: http://www.schmolke-carbon.de/carbon/carbon_uk/tria_bar.htm

Cranks: stiff as hell and lightweight: http://www.thm-carbones.de/de/Produkte/Carbonkurbel_Clavicula/Testberichte.html (sorry, but the test data is only available on the German site, you’ll figure it out)

Brakes: http://www.ax-lightness.de/englisch/productsbrakes.htm

Saddles: http://www.ax-lightness.de/englisch/productssaddle.htm Ouch ouch ouch!

All very nice parts, and unfortunately all pretty expensive. But I guess the carbon crazy will still like it!

And expensive as hell. I think this is the world’s most expensive cranks by far (maybe except SRM cranks). You can read more about all this leighweight stuff at this forum: http://weightweenies.starbike.com

AX lightness stuff is available through www.starbike.com. last I checked, about $270 to get one of their Sprint saddles to the US. expensive, yes, but the thing weighs about 70g (± a few depending on rider weight), and the SLR carbon is as expensive and heavier.

You can also buy THM Clavicula cranks + Scapula forks at Starbike.

The price for a Clavicula crankset is 798 € (971 $).
