I’m new to the northern VA area and we’re in the midst of house hunting. I’m getting familiar with the W&OD trail, and just learned of the new (slated to finish this Dec according to website) Cross County Trail.
The parks and rec site says its paved but some portions are soft gravel. Anyone have experience riding this stretch and if the non-paved areas are harsh/tolerable on the roadbike? I’m particular interested in the southern area (near Accotink area) up to the part where it connects w/ the W&OD (near Reston-ish).
