I’ve come across a new, never built Cervelo Soloist frame/fork/seatpost for sale locally. It’s a bike I’ve long wanted to own, but right now I can only manage to do so if the price is right. This year’s model lists for US$1400. The frame in question is a 2003 model. The only difference in the frame from last year to this that I can discern from Cervelo’s Web site is the 2004 model accommodates a 1 1/8-inch steerer.
What would be a fair price for this baby?
How much would it cost you to build it the way you’d want?
Would this be less than a new Soloist Team fully built?

ps. Does it have the proper fork (there was a recall) and carbon seatpost?

I’d strip the Campy Chorus 10-speed gruppo and other parts off another frame, so it will only cost me what I pay for frame/fork/seatpost and the labor (cheap) to change over the components.
Wasn’t it the Wolf fork that was recalled? This one looks to have a Chord fork with an aluminium steerer. Seatpost is not the new carbon kind.
Is around US$850 purty good?
