F1 race advice S,B,R,S,B,R

Doing a F1 type triathlon in a few weeks looking for anyone else who has done this sort of thing and has good advice, such as race suggestions etc.
Format is S,B,R,S,B,R Sprint
.

It’s a fun format, and obviously transition skills are extremely important. here’s a couple of things that worked well for me.

1…at T1 (s to b) don’t remove goggles. just pull them down and leave them around your neck. that way you can just pull them back up into place as you run to start your second swim. when you finish the run you can just get your shoes off and keep going.

2…start with shoes on bike and leave them there.

3…have 2 pair of running shoes in transition. that way you can just yank them off and toss them out of the way when you finish your first run and not have to struggle with finding them and struggling to pull on soggy shoes for the second run. this is also great for rbr duathlons.

i did a race like this years ago at the miami international speedway. swim was in the infield lake, bike was on the banked oval, and run was on the short road course inside the oval. it was a blast…wish it had continued, but i guess the venue was expensive and required a huge turnout to succeed.

GREAT advice thank you. I really like the two pairs of shoes and will do the other things as well

Keep em coming! Please
