…at IM CDA. all I can say is wow. I guess it’s hard to get much more aero than that…

In the second picture doesn’t the sign say Caution Slow?
That’s no way to rest on the downhills.
Switch out the bike for skis and poles and he’s ready for a tuck position on the slopes!
I think it is just silly, a slight bump on the road and he’s history. Besides it seems his knees are somewhat open, not very aero.
Actually, I think his knees are clamped on the downtube…and this is how some of the best descenders in cycling do it. Not only that…its hard to argue with the OVERALL WINNER’S performance.
did not see Il Falco doing it on the Giro, and can’t recall anyone at the TdF last year. Yeah I’d like to see someone going down the alps like this… I do see the occasional roadie doing it on our lonely downhill (S Florida Bridge) doing it, but it is straight and even there the expansion joints on the bridge are big enough bumps that can get you flying.
Maybe it is me being a chicken sh… dunno
I wouldn’t worry about the bike going flying as much as I’d worry about a bump ramming the top tube into my package. That just seems to be a recipe for disaster around the family jewels, even if it is faster.
I’m thinking it might be tough to generate any power like this. Hell of a way to ride 112 miles. Hope no squirrels jump out in front of him.
