Explosion in SF

Not sure if this has been addressed or not (I’m several hours behind here), but has ironclm posted today?I read about an explosion in the Financial District that sent 1 person to the hospital and caused evacuations. Doesn’t Cathy work in the Financial District? …kj

Those damn underground transformers will scare the crap out of people when they blow. A few weeks ago I was driving past the World Bank in DC when one blew about 15 feet from my car. Flames were shooting through the sidewalk and pedestrians were screaming and running for their lives. The area was ropped off for hours while the Feds made sure it wasn’t a terror attack. Nasty.

The explosion happened @ 9:50 am. clm posted in one thread (Merck) at 12:54 pm.

Good to know…kj

Swamped w/work here. It happened about 6 blocks from my office. Didn’t hear anything, not even the sirens. Those things have blown in the past, but not for quite awhile. Luckily it wasn’t worse than it was.

Glad you were unaffected…kj

Thanks!

Any news lately?

Been getting some inquiries from Orange County. I prefer SF, but when it comes down to it, I’ll go where I get the best offer. I’m in a good position as I don’t have to take the 1st thing that comes up, I have some time to find the right position. Its kind of hard long distance though, some won’t even consider me because of the relocation issue. Oh well…kj

I’ll keep my eye out in the trades.

Any attorneys out there looking? We have needs==various offices (east and west coast) and practice specialties.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. After the Palo Alto debacle I took a break from sending out my resume for a couple weeks. I’ve just started browsing for positions again…kj

Too bad you don’t have heavy corp sec…

Have a great weekend. Off to North Beach. No more explosions!

No shit, they make all the money. Have fun…kj
