Clearly, these guys are not weight weenies…

I thinks that’s a different kind of “tri”…

Sorry, couldn’t resist.

;-))

Special 'lympics.

If 1 disc is fast, then 2 is even faster, right?

Why not three??..Put one in the middle where the old wheel would go…

Their frames look twenty years old but they have three thousand dollars worth of wheels…could it be because of the wind?? I can’t figure it out

Always use 2 rear discs. Unless it kills you, it makes you faster.

Mott 3:1

This has to be in the UK
.

These pics have been posted before. These guys are from England so there’s no telling what the real story is.

They look like they are pretty strong riders at any rate.

It’s a British thing - TTing on a tricycle. If you look at the races listed on the CTT UK website - there are quite a few events allowing these. These are not disabled people - neither mentally nor physically - they just like to do this stuff. I don’t get it, either, but I haven’t tried it as well. Maybe it’s awesome. They say cornering is really fun as you need to lean not unlike the case with small sail boats. Usually older folks do the tricycle thing.

Nick.

Judging by the side of the road that they are on, they are British… Which is enough explanation. Surfing the www I’ve found a tri club out there where these type of tri guys congregate and ride togther.

time reduction granted for the amount of money you spend on additional wheelsets. more money = more time reduced = faster times

Guess it makes them so fast that they don’t even need to get down in those aero bars
.

with this added stability it is possible to use a front disc too, in any wind situation.

its the future!!!

If those disks have dimples they could possibly be doing for the land speed record.

If you had 2 rear disks with dimples these bikes would be uncontrollable; you’d have to lean far forward just to keep the front wheel on the ground. Lets hope this doesn’t happen.

Not “special” But rather paralympics, not to be rude, but please do not confuse the two.

There are two catogries that allow for a trike in paralympic racing.

TT racing for those with really bad balance. Or drunks.

Wussies. Considering the stability of running 3 wheels, there is absolutely no reason, not to have 3 discs!

Make fun of these guys and I dare you to make fun of the guy on the custom, 3 wheeled Harley…

This is the beer mile bicycle style!

I think you nailed it
