This is somewhat on topic since I plan on using Expedia to travel to Las Vegas for Silverman. Has anyone used Expedia to book a package for flight and hotel? How did you find the transaction? Were you satisfied with the package they offered? Was it everything they promised?
Anyone know of any good reputable online places to look for airfare (out of Buffalo) and Hotel deals?
Thanks!
Mark
anyone have any inside knowledge if the airlines are going to have a ‘sale’ soon? I need to purchase tix for CdA.
I use Expedia and Travelocity to pick out the best airline routing/pricing but will almost always take that information and go to the individual airline and hotel site and book directly with them. I find that the pricing when going direct is better than travel sites. In addition, you get treated better when going direct rather than going through the “discounters.”
I used the Travelocity last minute deals for the first time to get to wildflower and got a flight from the mid-west to San Jose and a 4-day rental car for $280. that was pretty crazy cheap - but i had to wait until within 2 weeks of departure to book and obviously had no guarantee ahead of time that the prices would go down.
I would bet there are always last minute deals into Vegas for Silverman but for CdA I don’t know.
definitely use them for last minute deals.
I could never wait until 2 weeks out. I don’t have the kauna’s for it. I will be coming down from Toronto and flying out of Buffalo saves me about $300 CAN alone.
Good ideas though thanks.

My experience with Expedia has been exclusively positive and I have used it extensively to book travel around the world.
Prices are fair and service is excellent. When I made a mistake once, they promptly corrected it live on the phone, even though the error was my fault. No charge.
Additionally, I have booked three “package deals” using expedia and all were awesome. One was to Belize, the other to the Domincan Republic and a third I can’t recall the destination.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Expedia based on my experience.

Southwest has some pretty good deals out of California to Spokane (not sure where you are). One would think with fuel prices going up that fares should go up as well but I guess that would be too logical for the airlines. I ended up buying ticket on Alaska Air and it was $250 round trip from Oakland. Bike is $50 each way.
