So…my training is starting to get going for IMC and my legs are getting worn out. Part of the problem is that my work/dress shoes…suck. They look nice, but they suck. Short of wearing running shoes all day long, anyone have any reccomendations for work/dress shoes?
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen R10C give some solid suggestions. Get his attention and you should be solid.
I’ve been really happy with Cole Haan shoes with the nike air thingers in the heel, and I had a pair of nice Johnston & Murphy shoes that I waited tables in that were always very comfortable spending all day walking around on concrete floors. And they managed to stay fairly not-gross too through a couple of years of that…
If you don’t have to wear wing tips, and can get away with something more casual…the Patagonia Honeydew.
Love 'em, and totally let your foot be itself.
Any shoe will be better with a decent insert:
As little shoe as possible. Puma H-Streets and/or Saloh’s or go with a Vivo Barefoot shoe. I’m wearing the brown Saloh’s; very minimal sole, but nice enough to wear with my slacks and polo’s.
I can’t wait to get a pair of Vivo’s…their just expensive for much of nothing
I always liked Rockports. Comfortable from day one.
