…and when you finally do (attempt to) consume another one you find yourself completely not interested in that or any beer at all? Hmm, stranger than fiction as it happened yesterday afternoon to myself.
I have to say no. On the other hand I stop at 3 or 4 even though I only get beer a couple of times a year. I just have lost the desire to get totally plowed.
i think that’s the bottom line on this end too. finally!
Same here. I was a one-beer-a-night kinda guy until about two months ago when I stopped drinking at all. I bought a six shooter last week and it was pretty unsatisfying.

entirely different universe, different galaxies and their worlds apart even but the same in the end, just nothing there.
I had that problem with tequila after a trip to Cacun.
Beer no - other alcoholic beverages - yes - I love beer
.

no beer???what the hell do you do to entertain yourself??? /reply] Haven’t had a beer in six weeks.I have however swapped to red wine which deos a better job of making everyone look like a supermodel. ![]()
I drink 2 Guinness/year for the past 9 years. My lifetime avg. daily intake is still quite high b/c of the college years.
yeah, i went the better part of 2 years without drinking beer. i was living in france at the time, though, so you could go into even cheap dive bars and still get decent wine.
i still don’t understand why people in france drink so much beer - their beer is pretty awful, while their other alcoholic beverages - wine, pastis, all the awesome kinds of brandy - are so good.

we’re guys, what the hell do you think? ![]()
in all honesty, dream of better days while running a whole helluva bunch in recent. wierd, i really tried to coax myself into a beer after my run yesterday but just thinking about drinking one hurt too much. i know i’ve seen at least one post concerning hard liquor and i even thought of possibly a small Jack 'n Coke, a rum or something last night but even then, still not interested.
I gave up beer for Lent a couple years ago … My wide made me *un-*abstain after about a week, since she thought I was too much of an asshole without a 6-pack or two nearby

No. Except for a few times I couldn’t drink beer in the hospital, I have had at least 2 beers just about every night since 1972. Proper hydration is important.
43 years old and I’ve never had a beer.
go Amish or go home?

got on the bike for as stroll just now at 26.32 dis @ 1.35.51 tm @ the stunning average of 16.5, half Fulshear route, and i don’t feel the need for anything other than a run.
*those times are not a brag by any stretch of the imagination.
I can’t say that I ever put up times like that; but, I put the hooch down over two months ago. Have resolved I’ll have one again with my old man when I finish the Oly I do back home every year or the marathon a few months later. Not even sure convinced that I’ll want it then; but I can tell you I haven’t wanted one in a long damn while and my run times have gotten a helluva lot better.
originally i was going to go with “and in advance, phuck all of you who talk about those numbers, i know this already…” type of a warning. no kidding but it was just a ride, nothing to hide from or brag about.
And a shout out to SWCC’s Kevin who was on his way in from a 60+ whom we hitched from one another for a little while.
From time to time I do give up beer. But I never stop liking it. Maybe because I only drink good beer.
