Lance Riegle just finished the Kids of Steel Triathlon in Windsor, Ontario. He kicked butt but the race kicked back as you can see by this photo of him after the race:
Priceless

This is the *real *Lance:

Well, thank God, he avoided the medical tent.
It’s nice to see the future…
Thanks for the post, Tom

I know how he feels: One minute you’re on top: The next minute your buddy smokes you at the line:

You should be on the stage! My post of the month award goes to you, J.
Very cool photo. I think we have all felt somewhat like that before.
Yeah, I think we can relate on one level or another…
Now THAT is a great shot sequence to charish…
I have a similar shot from a race last year that seems to sneak out of the archives when I talk too much smack to one of my friends…
Tom, thanks for putting up the pic. Lance asked all day yesterday “How many people have looked at it now?”
He is a true triathlete, he starts giving me the race recap and complains that slower riders were blocking the bike path. I guess we need draft marshals handing out time penalties for these races.
Seriously, the Windsor Tri Group and Kids of Steel put on a great race, nearly 400 kids from ages 3 to 16, well run and a great course. There are some fast guys and gals coming up in the sport.
Lance’s group did 100meter swim, 5k bike, and 1k run. Fun stuff.
