Very true, but natural gas is found and produced the same way as oil, often off the same rig in the same field. It’s not unusual to have up to 40 wells drilled from one rig. The problems I mentioned earlier regarding the iincreased cost of exploring and producing oil are the same for producing natural gas, and will affect the cost of the gas in the same way as oil. That gas is going to get pretty darned expensive too.
Unless we can get nuclear fusion working reliably, then conservation and renewable energy is our best way forward.
