ESPN2 Ironman 25th Anniversary Show was

disappointing, in my opnion.
I missed the first few minutes but in the chronology I didn’t see any mention of Julie Moss’s crawl finish in '82. No mention of the popularity and growth of the non-Kona IM races that have fueled the sport (and Kona), no mention of the equipment changes/improvements, and no mention of my personal inspirational favorite, Sr. Madonna Buder.

Again, maybe I missed it but they seemed to spend a little to much time on the 9/11 tragedy and while the Fireman’s story was certainly captivating I think they kind of overdid it.

There was a soccer game that ran about 15 minutes long…but the IM 25th show still ended on time. They mentioned the Moss clip was coming up, but I think it was edited out. Probably cut even more.

The 20th Anniversary video summed up those years better, I think.

I watched the soccer match. Much, much better than the IM show. Or at least the bit I saw. Tuned intoanother soccer match at the beginning of the 9-11 part.
