I set up my Ergvideo today with CS software and multi-rider software (which I just downloaded). The CS mode seems to work fine, but when I go to Multi-rider, the watts output on the computrainer doesn’t seem to be in erg mode but is simply the rider’s output. Even the Ergvideo instructional video seemed to indicate that multi-rider mode wasn’t an “erg” mode, which doesn’t make any sense to me. Can anybody enlighten me here? Paul S., are you out there?
for the bump of it.
Try posting this question on the Erg Video forum for faster response from Paul S. He’s always been quick to answer my question via that forum.
Personally, I prefer using the CS. Just seems easier, and works fine.
Thanks, and a quick question – can you run erg mode when in the multirider configuration?
ErgVideos are always in Erg Mode no exceptions no matter the setup.

Yes, multirider is in the erg mode.
The main benefit of multi-rider is that it allows you to adjust the ‘load’ mid-ride, and CS does not. Otherwise they are pretty similar. I find this important if you choose too high a wattage and have regrets mid-ride…
thanks everyone for chiming in. I am travelling right now.
I answered teh OP’s question in pm, including a request to send direct to support at ergvideo dot com for fast response. I love the extra exposure, but using ST as a help channel TOO much is kinda taking advantage of Dan’s kind nature.
Other responses correct. All ergmode all the time (cept in threshold test video, but that isn’t what was being aksed). I pointed out that the MR settings may be confusing the op a little bit.
