I heard a rumor that Ergomo was being resurrected, any truth to that?
There have been rumors that shimano was interested in them but that’s all I have heard.

This is good news as I blew out the bearing on my Ergomo Pro after 4 years. I’m actually on my 4th Ergomo Pro because of download issues, frozen screens, inconsistent data measuring, etc. I kept getting the old “Oh, we’ve not had those problems before…or we had a bad batch so we’ll exchange it.” At least they exchanged it. Spent more in shipping, popping in a temp BB while waiting for a new to be shipped than it was really worth. Once I finally had one that worked, it was good for several years now–until the bearings finally were fried. It was a mid-priced power meter and is a very good concept, lightweight…but in hindsight should have gone for an SRM. I went to Interbike & got a business card from Ergomo’s General Manager…emailed her two weeks ago & no answer. I guess it all makes sense now because they don’t exist…didin’t even know for sure when they belly-flopped. Asked at LBS and they didn’t know if Ergomo even existed yet. I will say this though, the Erg had some pretty cool features and data it provided. Just a little undependable as to whether it was going to freeze up on you, not download, or give you 2x the actual wattage you should be putting out (it wasn’t a configuration issue like the offset or anything either). Ergomo fessed up it was the computers they sent me–at least they were honest about it. But the one that worked in the end…worked great, and was stable as could be right up until the bearings blew up. I’ll need to get it fixed now & re-install it…just have to wait for Sigfried to get his stuff rolling here in a few months on the big comeback for Ergomo.

If your looking for a replacement, I have the BB, carbon crank and computer headunit with mounting bracket for sale. The stuff works fine and is just sitting here. I’ve been meaning to take pics and post it on ST but the days always seem to get away from me…

Can I find this battery somewhere ?
$90 to replace a battery?! SRM only charges $50. I would DIY for $10 (or less) in parts.
The wife has the ergomo…I made the decision to own a PT and haven’t looked back.
