Well, I hit my deadline of May 15th and I went from 184lbs down to 172.5. I had a goal of 170. This really helped me get focused and draw strength from the group. I actually weighed 168 after the race but that is of course due to dehydration etc.
Slowman…how are you doing?
All the rest, lets get the report.
Michael
I forget when the Epic Diet actually started, but I started on April 16 – the day before my birthday and the day I shaved my head, which I’ve always wanted to do.
Regardless, I’m down 16 pounds since then. I still have abut 30ish to go, but I’m feeling good.
I hate being a fat ass, and I now hate it enough to take action, which I think is the key.
I remember when I was in high school, and I professed the desire to get all A’s one year. Then, I didn’t. My dad questioned how much I actually wanted it. I replied that of course I did. He then said something that stuck with me, which basically was that if you ask 100 high school students, 99 will say they want good grades. But it’s only the few who then act on that goal who truly and literally want to achieve it. The rest are blowing smoke, as talk is cheap.
Or, as Yoda said, “Do, or do not. There is no try.” So, I am choosing to return to my non-fat-ass weight.
awesome!
i’ve been on my own “do more…east less” routine for a couple months following hefty weight increase over the winter from a blown out knee.
the scale showed 203 the end of january when i was able to resume biking and running. i’ve dropped back to 175 as of this weekend.
first race is now River City in Logansport, IN. had to drop off the Triple T after sloshing around the with the crud for 3 weeks in March and April which threw everything off. race weight goal is 165. 10 pounds, 4 weeks. pushing it but i’m maintaining everything okay.
this is fun.
