I know I’m a bit early, but I would like to race in the Ironman Frankfurt next year (2010). What I hear is that it is difficult to enter as this event is sold out in hours. How do I get the information on at what date/time registration starts? Do you have any tricks/tips on this issue?

up until last year they started the sale at the day after the race. Last year they started the sale about a week earlier. The exact date is presented on the web site of Frankfurt Ironman a month or so before the sale starts.
If you want to, I can tell you as soon as I get hold of the date myself.
The race is really sold out in hours. It took about 12 hours last year. I actually think it is harder entering this race as finishing it

And they have a beer truck in the athlete garden!!! Great race, I did it last year…I emailed the guy before signing up and asked him for the date/time (including time zone) when the race entry opens.
yes! Since it is in Germany, it has to have a beer truck there :)))
One of the BEST RACES in the IM circuit. I have done IMG 2003,2005,2008 and this year 2009. Have never had a problem signing up via internet, US based, you just have to go to the web site and get ready for when it goes on-line.
