Enough time to get ready?

I posted this on Gordo’s site as well…

Due family and work commitments I havent been really training for anything in particular. I have, however, been running, riding, swimming and weight training twice a week since January. My question is if I start training serously today what is the minimum amount of time I need to not just finish a half but finish feeling good? I’m looking at several different halfs in the September-October time frame. Is this enough time to get ready?

depends on how long those sessions were. If they add up to 7-8 hours a week with a longish ride and run, you could probably be ready in 8-12 weeks. I’ll let you know next week. I’ll be doing my first 1/2 on the 26th after 14 weeks of serious training and winter of casual training.
