Apparently these things are like breath mint strips and provide electrolytes for endurance sports. Quoting from the quick review in Bicycling mag, after using the strips on a long ride the reveiwer commented ‘…I felt happy…’ Sounds easy enough.
Tried a free sample at Boston marathon expo. I’m not one for theatrics, but I couldn’t keep a straight face; thing was absolutely disgusting. YMMV
