ENDORFUN SPORTS CANCELS
PLANS FOR COLONIAL TRIATHLON
IN WILLIAMSBURG, VA
Endorfun Sports announced today that it has finallly cancelled plans to produce the Colonial Triathlon Festival in Williamsburg, Virginia for 2007. Endorfun pulled the plug on the 2006 event due to logistical issues, and had considered producing the event for 2007. According to Endorfun owner, Keith Jordan, he and his team were not able to rectify these issues. “We were working hard to resolve our logistical concerns for 2007, however, we just finally came to the conclusion that we would not be able to put on the world-class event we wanted in Williamsburg. We expect other entities to attempt a triathlon there, because it’s a beautiful venue, and we wish them the best of luck. We just couldn’t put on a race there that would meet our high standard. It’s disappointing, because we’ve put a lot of time in to this”, says Jordan. “We wanted to issue a statement, as we know alot of athletes were excited about this potential race. We feel it’s time to turn the page, and put all of our focus on our current and new events.”
Endorfun Sports, producers of the world-renowned Timberman Triathlon Festival in Gilford, New Hampshire and Mooseman Triathon in Bristol, New Hampshire, have two new events coming to Texas. The Lone Star Triathlon Festival is set to take place March 30-April 1, 2007 in Galveston, Texas, featuring Sprint, Quarter-Iron, and Half-Iron triathlons. The Longhorn Triathlon Festival is set for October 5-7, 2007 in Austin, Texas, featuring Sprint and Half-Iron triathlons.
