Email or Text alerts for IMLOU

I thought IM Live had this option that you could put in your racers # and get some updates. Can anyone confirm? Going to be out of band on Sunday in Chicago but wanted to keep track of some people.

If they have it, does anyone know what day/time they open it up at?

Yea, but last I checked they still did not have IMLOU as one of the choices for athlete tracking on ironmanlive.com

Yeah, I have thier numbers. That is not a problem.

So assuming that IMLOU will be tracked by IMLIVE. Have other races had a text or email update option?

I will be at IM LOU this weekend and thought it might be interesting to send along some updates, when possible, so I set up a twitter.com account:

I think that you can sign up to receive the updates I send to that page via txt to come to you as txt. I realize that it doesn’t help out you trying to keep track of your friends. I just started using the twitter service, so I’m not exactly sure how it works.

On the other hand, if Ironmanlive does send txt updates (which I didn’t know they did) than I won’t waste my time or txt funds.

But it will be nice to have when we (group from Lexington, KY) head to Wisconsin. I’m going to have a couple people txt’ing updates about our group so family and friends can get more info than just a couple time updates from athlete tracker… maybe someone you know will be a spectator there at IMLOU and can set up an account too? (Again, assuming IMLive doesn’t offer txt updates?)

It is sort of weird that they list having live video feeds and race coverage but not athlete tracking, although the website does say that they may add races closer to date of race - hopefully they will have both.

I believe they only did this for Hawaii (text alerts). It was through another company see below

I asked the wiggle folks:
