New social media site, http://money.cnn.com/2014/09/26/technology/ello/index.html I don’t like Facebook, never have liked the amount of personal info they collect. However I have run Facebook accounts for the last two businesses I have worked for and am interested in how the new player will play out. I do realize they will likely fail, but interested to see what the talk is about.

No, haven’t asked for one yet. I was hoping to get some feedback from some folks first. Frankly I am more interested in small business application than using it myself, we do well on facebook and instagram marketing events and sales, was wondering whether this might turn into “the next big thing”.
I have a profile. It’s pretty basic right now. It’s also pretty boring as you might expect audience centric applications to be at an early stage. Right now its pretty much an artist colony being slowly infiltrated by capitalist moles. Right now the artists are clearly winning.

My take from some limited viewing and discussion is that it’s mostly centered on creative types right now. No ads, so I’m not sure how business friendly it will be, if at all.
My basic feeling is, do we really need another social network?
