Electronic massageser experience?

Anyone have any experience with these? Looking to get one for my wife for Xmas. She doesn’t really like getting massages from actually people but does like how she feels afterward.

The ones I’m looking are the ones where you adhere some pads to your skin and the use a hand held unit to control the strength and frequency of the pulses.

Are the good for athletic recovery ?

Those are muscle simulators (as opposed to massagers). The electrical pulses make the muscles contract…the concept was to get exercise while sitting on the couch. Long story short, they’re snake oil.

For recovery, few athletes use electric massagers. Foam rollers and manual devices (like The Stick) are much more common, as are compression socks/tights.

The “ultimate” are normatec “space legs”…but those cost more than a bike.

Hitachi magic wand.

Answers both the direct and possibly indirect question being asked here.

This thread is going to be epic…

I just ordered one from groupon for like $40. At that price it is worth a shot.

Kind of nervous about the happy ending part though. That’s the real reason I bought it.
