Election Predictions?

Normally the LR has a contest to see who can predict the election results. Any takers? Senate/House/Governor races…

I gave $100 to Kashkari so he will lose.

Senate:
GOP: 52
Dems: 48
.

Most probable, but not likely (think about that one)…

R: 53
D: 47

Okay, I’ll say

Senate:
Dem - 47 (45+ 2 Ind.)
GOP - 53 (52 + 1 Ind.)
(Gain of 7 for GOP)

Governor:
Dem - 22
GOP - 27
Ind. - 1
(Gain of 2 for Dems)

House:
GOP gains 8 seats

The canary in the coal mine will be the results of many extremely tight Governor’s races. If those races lean GOP, this is going to be a huge wave election. If Dems win those governor’s races they may eke out an extra win or two in the Senate.

I predict dems will lose. My larger prediction is that Obama will go full rogue, and screw the dems hard via executive action and over-reach. Obama is about Obama, and Obama's agenda; nothing else. There may very well be dems talking impeachment a year from now.

bold predictions, and you heard it here first.

Allright, way to go long!!! (not the part about dems losing ;).

He doesn’t take kindly to those who don’t kiss his ass so maybe if the Dems lose big we will see his much anticipated meltdown and the real Obama will start speaking. I imagine he sounds like a mixture kd Michelle and Rev. Wright with a little Bill Ayers and Alinsky thrown in for some spice.

Wouldn’t surprise me, unlikely, but possible. Except I’m more cynical. I believe he would do it with the intent of portraying himself as a martyr. To have two democrat presidents in a row impeached would suggest that it is a default move by republicans. At least to the uninformed. This would be the perception even if it is baited by the president in office and fully justified. We saw impeachment meant little to Clinton, surely an impeachment Obama (the next democratic president after Clinton) could devalue the threat, impact, and even hurt republicans.

If Haslam loses the Governor’s race here then he deserves to. Alexander will retain as will whoever else is on the ballot (see how little I care at this point?)

My bigger concern is that we have a constitutional amendment on the ballot that is supposedly to “help regulate women’s health clinics that provide abortion services”. It is a very thinly veiled attempt at closing them down, and while I am personally right to life as a healthcare provider it is not my choice to put that on anyone else. Furthermore, amendments only serve to tighten the reins of governmental control on society and they should butt the eff out.

No predictions but I have MSNBC on and they are in full plead mode begging the low information voter to get out and vote… Democrat.

Pretty clear the left is in full panic mode. We received at least 3 calls a day on our home phone urging us to go out and vote. And that’s just the calls from the Colorado Democratic Party. We also got similar voice mails from the Colorado Association of Neighborhoods (or something like that), and 3 or 4 other organizations with liberal sounding names. I’ve no idea if they all were affiliated with or run by Democrats, but it was a little over the top in my opinion. We turned off the ringer on the phone because they’d call non-stop from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Kinda made me want to vote straight party Republican just to spite them . . . but I didn’t.

Why predict yourself when you can just go over to 538.

I was gonna post my own but this is exactly what I intended to post. I might flip one more Governor seat to R (23 D, 28 R, 1 I) but that’d be the only change.

my prediction: more of the same
.

NBC has been running a Chris Mathews commercial for several weeks like that which they disguise as a get out and vote piece but its obvious what he is suggesting.

Don’t blame me. I voted for Kodos.

Don’t you know, he is talking about Jim Moran and his Son.
