did anyone else notice that Ekimov’s front wheel from worlds was a deeper version of the hed 3. the rim looked deeper, like the old hed deeps, but it was still a 3 spoke. take a look at the pics

I will be willing to bet that the wind tunnel will find the deep H3 to be very close to the Mavic IO in aerodynamics. I will also be willing to bet that if Hed ever puts them on the market that they won’t cost $3,000 like the Mavic does.

I think that it has also been discussed that just making a rim deeper does not mean that it is more aerodynamic, often times it is less.
Campy’s old 4 “hole” front wheel was terrible in the wind tunnel, that was about as deep as you could get at the time.
