generators, not so much, as you well know…it’s clear I have sick sinus syndrome with my A-FL and a baseline HR of 45 and a pacer is highly likely at some point in my life…
many athletes do get AFib, as I’ve written about, but I just didn’t think I NEEDED to belong to the club-ha
It’s funny that I was talking to my doc about the wires and he says to me dont worry, they last 25 years. Which is kind of scary that he doesnt even know that I just hit 24+ years on these. He also didnt know how old I was, which is another problem. We had an argument over insurance and other things, and when I said well just send it to my medicare he gave me a puzzled look. His response was I thought you were like 55…Now he became my doc in 2009 when we put in the 2nd pacer, and we talked about me breaking all the overall and AG records on the Brurce tests, but none of that stuck I guess…
So what would you do for new wires, I heard two options. One just put in new ones and leave old ones in(not sure of consequences of this) or have old ones tore out and then put in new ones, what do you think about his issue???
And sorry to hijack your thread here, I do sympathize what you are now going through. I remember well when I first got my diagnosis and how I would think, how could this be me??
