I am looking for a tribike without breaking the bank. Currently ride an mtn bike. Is this a good deal? Is this a good bike? I am 6’ tall
How concerned should i be about the dings in the frame?
Hi,
Assuming that the frame is the right size for you (is it?) , I’d want pictures of the damaged areas.
My inner weight weenie tells me that the adjustability of the Look ergostem sounds nice, but you wind up paying a heavy (literally) cost for this - the weight I have seen for this stem is over 400 grams. If your only use for this is as a tri bike, then once you know what length and angle works for you, the adjustability loses much of it’s value.
Chris
No, No and a lot.
That isn’t a tri bike…it’s a road bike with triathlon bars.
What’s your budget?
not worth it, not that it’s not a decent bike but it’s waaaay overpriced for what they are offering. You can get some pretty nice new tri bikes for a little over $1,000 and they offer a hell of a lot more. Keep looking though, you’ll find lots of nice stuff on ebay, www.roadbikereview.com and in our classifieds section. Just don’t buy that one.
What’s your budget?
I would like to pick something decent up for < $1000 CDN
this summer/fall. All I want is a decent bike with decent components in my size that i can ride aero in. A road bike with aero bars isn’t automatically excluded.
Otherwise I am very scared that I will end up dropping like $3000 CDN on a new Guru Cron’alu at the LBS after taxes, pedals, shorts, shirt etc… etc… etc…
Tai - thanks for the input. I will continue to look here and in the other places you suggested.
Just frustrating waiting & waiting for the right bike to pop up. Always wrong size or too far away or somehting. I would prefer to buy from Ontario and see the bike in person 1st but this one seemed to my untrained eye pretty decent, esp with the components.
