Uncle bens ready rice. Ready after 1.5 mins in the microwave.
Lots of calories and tons of carbs.
I eat avocados with salt and pepper. WHen I get to where I’m running 40+ miles a week, I tend to lose about 3-4 lbs a week and quickly get to my minimum weight I can sustain healthily for 1-2 weeks at the max. My diet is about 98% whole foods, so finding good foods that are calorie dense is hard. But an avocado a day seems to really help. It’s normally my pre bedtime snack. It keeps me feeling full all night (I tend to wake up 4-5 hours into the night STARVING if I don’t eat one before bed).
I also snack on homemade hummus (made with lots of olive oil) with veggies or just straight olives a lot. All are high in fat, so the calories are up there, but they are healthy too.
Almond butter on apples or celery is another option. I don’t like the taste of natural peanut butter, but fresh almond butter is good.
- butter your bacon
- bacon your sausage
- If in doubt, rub it on a piece of paper. If the paper turns clear, it’s your window to weight gain.
