Does it come in both clame sizes 31.8 and 26.2 mm
or is it the same design with spacers for the 31.8 clamp size?
Thanks
Same bar, it comes with a shim for 31.8 stems. You’re better off going with a 26.0 stem, IMO.
I have one for sale, has 3-4 rides in it. If interested you can email me at antoniollona@yahoo.com
I concur. They run small too. Nice bar though. I’m racing them this weekend.
Actually the attack tt comes in BOTH 31.8 and 26. I have a 31.8 bar on my bike right now with no shims.
I really like mine, especially the extension angle. sort of a tweener between a straight and a typical ski bend. The pads aren’t great, I’ll be getting some Cee Gees to fix that.
I stand corrected.
I’ll just chime in to add my endorsement. I love mine. Had to change out the pads for something more substantial, but aside from that, I’m a big fan.
.
I like the bar too, its clean, great angle on the extensions, etc. I am selling mine because I find the flat “horns”, or the position of the hands to be risky for the riding conditions I encounter here in Puerto Rico. I am afraid my hand will slide out accidentaly… locally the roads can be bad, holes, bumps… not to mention drivers, dogs, chickens dashing into the road… add fatigue at the end of a long/hard ride and its recipe disaster. So I am back to my old trusty aluminum vision bar…
I have a set as well and love them so far, I have mine slightly modified, the 2008 version comes in both clamp sizes. I bought large, they can be cut down, I removed about 1/2 inch off the extensions as well as about 1.5 inches off the base bar extensions, they are super light and now fit me like a glove, the extensions have jsut the right amount of upturn at the ends and are narrow the way I like them. I also changed the pads to Profile Design F-19. Even with the Cee Gees I found the pads too small.
I have the same setup as JP, I’m going to go out on a limb by tooting my own horn and saying that I think I was the first to try the F-19 pads on them and when I had success I started touting it here on ST. Seems like a lot of people picked up what I was puttin down.
Mine are size large and are unmodified. They fit me perfectly.
Cee-Gees makes pads that fit the Attack arm-rests, they’re $20 but fit perfectly and are at least 3x the thickness of the oem pads. Very comfy compared to the originals, which i would “bottom-out” on. Those bars plus a Syntace F99 stem are a very light yet solid-feeling setup.
