how does the sizing work (i am coming from adjustedable clipons)
Sizing is the length of the extensions, width is 38cm on all of them.
They are nice bars, just too narrow for me, and even the large is too short. I am 6’4" with wide shoulders and long arms though. People of more normal proportions might want to post their reviews. I still felt ok on them, but a 40 or 42 width and another 2 cm on the extensions would have made a big difference to me.
I know they are tossing around the idea of wider versions, probably no time soon though.
thanks,
anyone else out there?
I use it. Like it a lot. Really light, really stiff, really expensive. I haven’t noticed any problems with the close arm rest and/or climbing bar spacing, but then, I’m also 5’10" and 145#. Only problem seems to be that when you tighten the stem cap to the specified torque, the bar creaks pretty badly when you ride on the climbing bars. No detectable wobble, but wigsome noise. You can kill that by tightening the stem cap down further, but it’s a full carbon bar, so do so at your own risk.
thanks for the input, i am looking at a pair, have a chance to pick them up for a fairly reduced price but am just doing some more research. now i need to figure out what size i need.
what kind of price and where if you don’t mind sharing? Since you said you had to decide which size I am assuming that it isn’t necessarily and single person selling one pair.
I like mine. I am 5’10" and 180 lbs and do not have any issues for the most part. I did switch out the arm rests and am now using my carbon armrests that came on my HED aerobars. A little modifications and they are perfect. The new armrest are way better that the stock Easton armrests.
it is actually a person selling a pair, but he said at the moment they have two used ones in the shop, large and med. (L might be gone now).
