Easton Attack owners

Guys, I am thinking of adding these to my Kaliber build instead of my Deda Aeroblacks due to the ability to internally route the cables and now that I heard now that they come in two sizes.

My questions is if you have any gripes about them, also do any of you know if they can accomodate vision aero brake levers?

The elbow rests are non-adjustable. In my racing position, I’ve cut my knee on them several times when coming out of the saddle to climb. They’re too far back given my stem length. To move them out of the way, I’d need to alter the position, which I don’t want to do.

Would that be solved by trimmiing the excess bracket after the correct width has been decided upon or is it the arm rest itself that you foul?

Kraig Willet has tested four one piece aero bars in the wind tunnel against a base bar/cip-ons. These are Easton, Hed, Profile and Vision Tech. The results are very intersting and there are significant differences. It’s a pay site but might be worth your while purchasing the test results prior to making a decision on which bar to get.

Thanks CG, trust a former resident of the New Forest to come up with the goods '-). Ta.

“a former resident of the New Forest”

Yup. Spent a year in a thatched roof cottage near the village of Burley which my then girlfriend(now ex wife) and I shared with a couple from New Zealand. The year previous I lived in Bournemouth. Those were the days. We were in our mid 20’s back then. Fond memories of those two years we lived in England.

It’s still very nice, unspoilt and quiet now the grockles have left! I rode past the Witch’s house this very morning.

Just went over the Kraigs site, but am a little confused. It states $19.95 for the test results to be e mailed to me but then underneath states:

All the money we take in goes towards the respective project goal. We will report progress here every $100 closer to the goal the pot gets!

Does this mean I have to wait until the test goal price is reached for my results or what?

It means if you can wait it out they will eventually post the results on the site for everyone to see. If you want the info now then pay up!!!

I did buy the wheel report a while ago - good information - and a good read. Worth the $7.95 (?) to me.

I actually have the Attack bars and really like them but can’t say if they are any more aero then a HED etc…

For $19.95 you can find out. The aero testing report is available.

hey CG…between the CH cover plugs and sticking your two cents in for Kraig…you’re starting to sound like they’ve made you their bitch…they got some kind of dirt on you or something? And if they do I sure aint paying $19.95 to get the full scoop on it…lol

Thanks Guys, for the information. I will look at that later.

I think the aerobar data was always that price.
