Actually, we all kinda looked like that from that era of the sport( mid "80’s) no surprises here. Been there done that. That was the look then. We all raced like that. We really had no clue what we were doing - everything was so new. So we just did it.

Raced with him in Hilton Head back in the late 80s at the USTS Bud Light Championship. He was an arrogant ass back then too.

Oh, so true. There’s a similar pic of him on the cover of (then) Triathlon Federation/USA’s *Triathlon Times *around '90 or '91. We all seemed to have the oversized Oakley Factory Pilots & were racing around in Speedos. I remember being at one of the USTS races where “Junior” was in the pro field & us AG’ers wondering Who TF was this kid?
