I thought I’d have no prob. booking 10 months out of Eagleman but apparantly all you jerks beat me to it. Does anyone have any recommendations on places close to cambridge that are still available?
THanks.

I’ve done Eagleman 3 of the last 5 years. We have stayed at the St. Michaels Motor Inn each time. Contact info is listed under lodging on the race website. It is on the race side of the Bay Bridge about 25-30 minutes from Cambridge. The rooms are reasonably priced for the area and there is no minimum stay. We have stayed just the night before the race each year.
As a side note, plan on arriving early race morning and purposely parking in the overflow YMCA lot. Not nearly as crowded as the race site, a few block walk to transition, and free showers after the race at the Y. You can’t beat it!

Best of Luck!
I know of several great places but since you called us all jerks I hope you have to stay in Baltimore!
Have you tried the places in Easton listed on the site? They’re only 15 minutes away and are usually available for quite a while and most don’t require two-night stay. At least they didn’t a few years ago. I booked a few days ago and had no problem choosing between a couple.
I’ve stayed at the Hampton Inn in Easton (using Hilton points). It’s a nice place right off the main highway. It took us about 15/20 min. to get to the transition on race morning. Historic Easton has some nice places to eat too.

This brings back memories! I posted nearly this same thread last Sept. in frustration trying to find a place to stay near the race. I ended up camping as I couldn’t find anything close to the race site. Camping was only 10 minutes drive to the race site and was only $20. Fortunately, the weather was good, so I really enjoyed it. If you’re up for camping, there’s info about it on the Eagleman site. They open the local high school locker room for you and everyone camps on the school grounds.
Thanks for the suggestions, however I’m a wussy city boy and need a bed! The one and only time I’ve camped was the last time!

Thanks for that.
There used to be a program where athletes stayed with host families for a modest fee which was then donated to charity. I did this twice and it worked out very well. Check the website.
