E-Bay yard sale

Here is this week’s assortment of stuff that doesn’t belong anywhere, started out as a bike and has since become a frame, or just plain doesn’t belong in here anymore.

The miracle of E-Bay will turn it into cash on Sunday. Bid early, bid often and our best wishes for a bargain.

The frenzy continues with new items being added every hour. Here is what happens when Bikesport cleans its attic…

And I thought there was a lot of used bike parts laying around in my garage!!

Hey Tom

Is it a big hassle to ship to your neighbours north of the border? Your auction says that you will ship to US only.

Tom,

FYI, your Soloist does not show up in the result list when searching on “cervelo”. You may be missing some potential customers and may want to do something about it (though I am not sure why that is, as the Orbea bike does appear when searching on “Orbea”…)

Edit: Never mind: I tried one more time and it did show up. Must have been a temporary issue on Ebay’s end.

We have had pretty good luck shipping to Canada recently so no problem. In the recent post 9/11 environment it was a huge hassle and the USPS gave us plenty of 'tude.

"had pretty good luck shipping to Canada recently "

Done a bit of cross border shipping both ways since 9/11. Seems to be normalizing these days.

I figure you’re more likely to see this post than an email, so…

The Soloist’s top tube is sloping, so writing that it measures 51 cm. is misleading. Refer to Cervelo’s geometry chart for the Soloist to see that the top tube on the size 54 frame measures more like 54.5 cm.

I should know. I recently received a Soloist in the wrong size. No matter how much I want it to fit me, it just doesn’t. I have to send it back and it’s killing me since there’s no replacement available locally. I need a size 51 if anyone knows where to get one…

I’m almost tempted to get the shoes, because I love Sidi, and kuz they were something used by Tom D.

But I usually wear 42’s in Sidi. Of course after reading his artice, I am probably wearing a size too large. Oh well. Who knows. Maybe I’ll bid.
