The guy in the photo in street clothes was obviously not a competitor. What he was actually doing there in street clothes was cheering MY finish! If I would have had a DA 9-speed cog set during that race I may well have gone under 8 hours. And in my desperation to get under eight in a future race, I would be willing to pay $40 postpaid for one…
Uh, heh-heh, did I fail to mention that I’m trying to get under eight hours for an OLYMPIC distance event? All the more reason for a DA cogset for $40…okay, if you’re gonna play hardball, $50!!! I’ll sell off the Willie Mays and Hank Aaron rookie cards I have clothes-pinned to my spokes (wrooom!) to pay the difference. Of course, I’ll have to modify my 3-speed Huffy some. The yellow banana seat is REALLY aero, though, as are the streamers coming out of my hand grips…if I see you at a race, I’ll ring my bell, or even blow my horn, as you pass me by…unless, of course, I get the DA cogset…then eat my dust!!
