Hi - Didn’t see anything useful in a search.
My front derailleur cable is fraying at the top (shifter). Is it hard to run a replacement cable through?

ps - I’m surprised it is failing so quickly - it’s only been 1 year and 1825miles on this bike. Is that abnormal?
I have changed out my Dual cable a few times now (due to rebuiling and upgrading) and have never had a problem yet. Very easy to do.
If the “hard” you are referring to is running the cable through the down tube, then no it is not. There is not a specific channel that the cable follows, just run the cable into the down tube and secure it in the cable guide on the bottom bracket then up to the FD.
