my only thought on this is that is bike weighed in at like 4 grams over UCI limit, and they wanted to bring it down right to even so they got the drill out. I would like to see a breakdown from like analyticcycling on what 4 grams will do for you on a hill like the ventoux, i know it cant be much. .5 secs?

This is nothing compared to how far Lance pushes it. He has plastic tape instead of screws for his (not mounted) seat tube bottle cage in order to save weight.
