Drag of a loose fitting jersey?

I have lost 40 lbs since starting triathlon training and racing almost a year ago. I have a tri suit for racing, but usually wear the cycling jerseys that I originally bought when I started this journey. Needless to say, they are pretty loose fitting at this point. Yesterday, I bought a couple of new tri tops that fit very well and today I went on a ride on my road bike wearing one of the tri tops. The difference seemed incredible especially at higher speeds. What is the general drag data relating to what you are wearing while cycling?

The data is as follows:

It looks bad.

Agreed. I determined to buy new jerseys the other day when I saw my shadow flapping uncontrollably in the wind.

If you’ve lost 40 pounds, why the heck would you want to wear a now-oversized jersey? Be proud of the loss and the new you - by all means by something tight fitting and show off.

(This from a guy who has done the same - and yes, it hurt to sell some of my very favorite jerseys which no longer fit on eBay. But the money allowed me to buy new smaller jerseys.)
