In theory, say some big draft pack goes by and you don’t want to break rules. Could you not let the last person in the pack get 5m ahead of you and then ride along at their uberpace without breaking any rules? Whether or not theres any benefit being 5m behind another bike, for sure there is one heck of a benefit being 5m behind a pack of 20. Violates the spirit of them I know, but the letter?
If I understand correctly it neither violates the spirit or the letter of the rules, its just smart racing.
