Does anyone ever do any research on downstream swimming? I was thinking about a race in the mountains where one would swim down a river. Though the times would be fast, people could set PR’s.
I did a race with a down stream swim a few years ago…the Capital City Dirt Triathlon in Hartford, Connecticut. The current wasn’t all that strong, but definitely noticeable. This isn’t really like what you described, but might be as close as you’re going to get.
Very fun race, other than the nasty case of poison ivy after.
