Here is the info on the two camps that Doug and I will be putting on. I sent out a pre sign up to the people that responded to my earlier thread awhile back, and both camps are a little over half full now… The camps will be held here at Xantusia in my private pool. You can check the home page for for where we are, and some pool pics. Send me a PM if you want in, but I’m guessing that they will fill pretty fast now. Maybe not like an Ironman, but then again I only need 24 or so…
** Doug almost never gets to the west coast, so I expect these to be popular camps. There are only spots for about a couple dozen for the two camps. I'm putting a web page toghther right now for sign ups, but you can reserve your spot by emailing me now and sending a check. Here are the details;**
There will be two seperate two day camps. They will be Wed/Thurs, may 9th and 10th, and Sat/Sun, may 12th and 13th. The fee includes all camp instruction from Doug and myself, as well as one nights accomidation here, and all 6 meals for the two days. If you need more nights lodging, it will be $55 for each extra night, and that will include any extra meals during your stay here. The cost of each camp will be $425, and a $225 deposit is required to reserve your spot. Balance must be paid 6 weeks before the camp. Deposits are non refundable, except in the case of special circumstances, which would force the camp to cancel. You may however transfer any fees paid for a $25 charge to another person. I will keep a waiting list once the camps fill for any eventual transfers.
Accomidations are rooms that will be shared with other campers. Usually two to a room, but some will stay in the pool cabin that holds 3. There is wireless internet here, so you can bring your laptops and stay connected to your outside world. Below I have listed a typical camp for Doug, but you will have time for a couple other workouts of running and/or cycling if you have a mind to. It is spectatcular up here, with running trails galore, and mountain roads for biking that rival the best you will find anywhere. Because we have 24 hour access to the pool, you can also do as much work there as you want/need to. We have loaner bikes here (tri and road), so you can bring your own, or just bring the pedals and gear from your own personal stash. The official start of each camp will be at 8am, and the last day will end at 5pm. Email me if you have any other questions, like RV’s space, best places to fly in to, and stuff like that. It should be a great time, and very informative. I know I’m looking foreward to hearing Doug’s rap on swimming, I guess I’m just an old dog not afraid to learn new tricks…
