Doping - at least the UCI / ITU is trying

I’m pretty sure the UCI is doing the bet they can and are perhaps the international federation that does more in the fight against doping. The UCI does that because cycling is a big sport with a big acceptance throughout the world, in other words, no matter what will happen it won’t fall in disgrace. For other smaller federations that represent up and coming sports, it’s not as easy to be in the forefront of the fight against doping.

Not sure that I would classify Major League Baseball as a smaller, up and coming sport. This article just affirms what everyone already knows, that performance drug testing in the really big pro sports (baseball, american football, hockey, basketball, and futbol) is a farce.

Oh, I’m sorry… I thought you meant WORLD sports

Hey, I put football in there. the real one, not the American version where they don’t use their feet.

Actually, there are two on each team (kicker and punter), but I nitpick.

eventually someone who agrees with me…

Not just one.

I coach high school soccer (what can I say? that’s what the association calls it). We didn’t have football/soccer in this area when I was growing up, but my son was fortunate to come along at a time when we had great coaching available to him (I don’t mean me). I learned the game as he progressed, and I absolutely love it. So, I learned to play and became a certified coach and referee.
