Now that I’m an agnostic I’m well past the point of return but am impressed with Pope Francis after eliminating this dinosaur. He seems like a breath of fresh air within a very stale institution. Historically reformers haven’t done well within the Catholic church but I wish him all the best.
In regards to my above post, will somebody please tell me why recently whenever I copy/post an url lately you can’t click it on? What do I have to do to change this back?
I have the utmost respect for someone willing to be as bold as he is. My faith is mine, I can share it by my actions towards others. What I say I believe pales in comparison to how I behave towards my fellow man.
Every church would do well to remember that.
But what specifically? I’m just curious. I’m Catholic, but I’ve had mixed feelings about some of the Church’s policies on some things and I’m still figuring out if I like Francis (I know he has charisma out the wazoo though).

He stands exactly where pretty much every other modern pope has stood. This whole meme of him being “progressive” or more “enlightened” than previous popes is pure fantasy.

So then it’s the charisma thing . . .being approachable and down to earth?
I’m probably more atheist than agnostic but am interested in this pope strictly because I’m normally quite interested in world affairs and a lot of people worldwide still follow Catholic doctrine. He seems to be attempting to drag the RC church into the modern world far more than any other recent pope and against the expected resistance within that institution.
