It basically looks like a piece of cauliflower the size of a large pea but made out of the inside of a cheek (if you were to bite it).

Dunno but get Fido to the vet. That can’t feel good.
+1
Get a vet to check it out.
good luck
I’m not a vet and agree that you should consult with your vet. Between now and your vet appt you might research canine papilloma virus. Affects dogs with immature immune systems (usually < 2 yrs old) or otherwise compromised immunity.
Get that dog to the vet, Barry. And quit sharing your hash pipe with it!!! (hee-hee).

Likely a wart - and apparently are pretty common in dogs that are young, have reduced immune systems, and/or come in contact with lots of other dogs at dog parks, daycare, makes lots of friends on walks/runs. My younger pup had one and it was pretty easy for the vet to remove. They didn’t even need to use anesthia so it’s not a big surgery. There is a small chance it could be cancerous but from what my vet said it’s not likely. We did have it sent off to be tested and it came back negative.
I would recommend getting to a vet sooner rather than later though because if it is a wart-like thing the longer you let it go the longer it has to establish roots which makes it harder to eradicate from your pup.
Kansas (the dog we picked up wandering the highway in Kansas) had two growths on her similar to that. When the vet looked at her, she said is was likely a wart, but, it could be cancerous. We had them both removed and checked. Both were merely warts. Have it removed and tested.
I think my dog had something similar when she was a puppy. In my case, I took her to the vet and the vet just said to leave them alone. They went away in a few weeks. I guess they are pretty common in puppies like someone else said. It’s still probably worth a trip to the vet.
My rat terrier had this. The vet called it a seed wort. He set up an appointment to have it removed but when I got my dog home she rubbed it off on the concrete. Tons of blood and I had to take her back to the vet to have the rest removed. Get thee to a vet! Pronto David!
EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

That was pretty much my reaction.
That’s odd, my reactions was “My, BarryP has feminine hands…”

Nice nails as well.
I play the guitar and finger pick so I have to keep my nails long.
EDIT: Those are my WIFE’s hands, nimrod! ; ^ )
yikes… “Old Yeller” that mutt before it infects others…
Looks very similar to a growth that my boy developed on his tongue some years ago. Vet said it’s a type of canine papiloma virus. We had his removed surgically and he recovered just fine. They said if we noticed any such growths down the line, we should try to break it up somehow and that would allow the virus to get into his system, resulting in him developing antibodies against it. Fortunately, we haven’t seen a recurrance. Have the vet take that sucker off and hopefully all will be well. Our female gets smaller ones on her lips from time to time as well, but they just seem to heal up on their own.
