Took the pups for an 8 mile run/hike today in the Tahoe National Forest. Carr lakes trial head to Penner Lake and a little XC trail blazing. They slept the entire way home (3 hours). We met about 10 other dogs out having fun and everyone got along just great.
Nice thing is they were the model citizens today. Greeted all hikers and their dogs politely and then just kept on going. They once happened upon a family eating a picnic lunch while we were snow shoeing and ate the kid’s sandwich out of his hand. That didn’t go over so well with the dad. But who the hell has a picnic in the snow at 30 degrees in the middle of nowhere?
Looks like a great time. We spent the past week in Tahoe on vacation and I got some great trail running in. I have to say that the lake Tahoe area is one of the greatest training areas in the country. here’s the map of the runs I made a few times this past week.
