Does 7900 bb work with old SRM?

Does the new 7900 BB from Durace work with the old SRM?

How rude of me!
I join slow-twitch and don’t even say hello, but jump right in for answers.

Please excuse my rudeness … Hello everyone…

Define old SRM?

DA or octalink?

The DA one should work without issue I’d imagine, the octalink - nope…

It is the power control V 10 speed cranks
.

If you don’t get an answer here go to weightweenies.com. They are big into bike part minutia over there.

Styrrell

Is it the SRM branded cranks, or the Dura Ace branded cranks?

SRM crank arms branded
.

No you’ll need to get an octalink bottom bracket…

How rude of us not to say hello back…hello.

is that what the 7800 is? Octalink?

Not much love here for such talent ppl. Maybe it’s too much Ironman focus here.

Laura, 7800 is the earlier version of 7900 and they are compatible with each other. Octalink is an older version which don’t have the the driveside crank arm going through the frame.

This picture shows the old octalink version of crank arm for SRM:

This picture shows the 7800, if you have it, it will work with 7900.
