Do you think Lance... (1)

has a bike trainer on his private jet? If so, what kind?

Chris

This is obviously just for fun.

I thought you were going to say, “wishes he was still hanging out with Matthew McCaunewhatever and drinking Shiners, etc instead of trying to revive his cycling career?” And I was going to say, “yes.”.

If Lance doesn’t win the 2010 TDF, I think he should retire. However, with a 3rd in Paris and crushing the Leadville record, I think he already did the revival.

I always hoped he’d come back and focus on Liege, Amstel, Flanders … some of those races. He had nothing left to prove as far as grand tours were concerned. There have been some very successful riders his age in some of the one-day classics.

Sorry to the OP for the hijack.

I don’t know about Lance, but I sure as hell do.

I thought you were going to say “wishes his arrangement with Dr Ferrari never surfaced?”

Ha, that is amazing. The flat kit is a nice touch :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Lockheed C-5? Boing C-17?

Thats awesome. It doesn’t look like your trainer is chained though. Does turbulence make the trainer seem more realistic?? When you think about it, you have probably cycled faster than any other cyclist.

Stud.

Unless he was pointing to the rear of the plane. Ok, that is a nerd observation I just made.

C-17. You are right, it was not chained. I use 5000lb straps as they are easier to manage. They are the white things near on me left side. The turbulence only serves to screw with my sense of stability, it does not make it seem more realistic. The best analogy I can make is it’s like riding on a trampoline.

can’t. see. at. work.

darn tinypic.

Now that makes me feel like a tool when I complain about it being too cold, rainy, whatever to ride.

Your 30 Caliber is too high…

this might be one of the few situations in which it looks fun to ride a trainer. I can only imagine how the turbulence messes with you.

You seat is too high…several thousand feet too high.

Wow … a really high altitude training!

That is really cool!
And when the plane is diving do you feel like you are climbing?

So is this considered training at altitude?
